april 2023 Newsletter

Our next club meeting will be on May 31 at 8 pm.

The upcoming CVB 3D season will be held on the third Sunday through the summer from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Members will continue to meet on Wednesday nights at 5:30 p.m. to work on the course, mow paths, and expand target lane options. We will also have a designated workday on Sunday, May 14 at 8 a.m. to make sure the course is ready. We’re planning to repair the steps on the course, add additional paths, and expand shot options beyond the standard layout we’ve been using. If you’re free, we’d always welcome an extra helping hand.

May will be our first Long Range 3D of the season with stakes set to 70 yards on some targets for folks looking for a little more challenge or to prepare for a trip west in the fall. This will be held on Saturday, May 20, in addition to our Sunday shoot on May 21. We will be setting up Friday, May 19 at 5 p.m. and would appreciate any help.

The large maple over the parking lot is due for removal. We’re discussing options to address it after a 3D shoot to allow time for cleanup and stacking. We’re also exploring more options to help raise money for the club, including a game of chance license and alternative pricing options. If members have any suggestions or ways to help, it would be highly appreciated!
